About Us

Explorer Post 20 is part of the Explorer program, a coed division of Boy Scouts of America. The goal of the program is to provide young boys and girls between the ages of 14 and 20 opportunities and encouragement to learn about and explore our natural environment. Our emphasis on outdoor recreation and high adventure helps provide team-building opportunities, new meaningful experiences, practical leadership application, and life-long memories and skills to young adults.

History

Explorer Post 20 has been active in Los Alamos and in the river community for almost 50 years. Some of the earliest Explorers even ran the section of the Colorado river that now lies under Lake Powell! River running is exciting and a wonderful way to experience some of the more remote areas of the US. Join the Adventure, join the Tradition – Explorer Post 20.
